Very quickly, I've calculated The Blog Cup 4th Round results. As you'll see, the cut-off was quite competitive so congratulations if you made it through!

There are only 40 of you left now, with Round 5 in Week 24. Remember, the last man standing wins the Premier League replica shirt of their choice...

Yet again I dropped out of the top 2000. So annoying. 13.5 points behind AM - Fabregas, Vermaelen, and Anelka really killed me, while Valencia, Belletti and Salgado didn't even play, and Robinson contributed the fourth zero.

Currently on:

Given
Vermaelen Bale Baird
Duff Ballack Gera Malouda
Anelka Tevez Kalinic

My worries are the injury of Vermaelen, and the Ballack+Anelka pairing. They both didn't do very well last night, so I thought about dropping both of them for Drogba and another midfielder, maybe KPB or Geovanni. The only problem with that is the possibility that Drogba will play only the second match, and I'm not sure Geovanni and KPB are good investments. A dilemma for the next days.

Advices?

I'm not in the blog cup, but i just want to point out that there may be a triple on the horizon!

Man City
Stoke
Wigan
Bolton

I was looking at the fixtures, and can't see how else they could do it for next week.

Does anyone else have the same opinion?

These double weeks are always a killer for me, but a triple week!

I wish i'd kept on to Given at discount after getting all zero's anyway since i dropped him.

I was surprised that I got through as well. After the Saturday match where Rooney (who I didn't own) blew up and Valencia (who I did own) did not play, I thought I was out for sure. Luckily, I received great contributions from Bale, Distin, Lee, Donovan and Kalinic. They seem to be the reasons I survived since Lampard/Van der Sar's big games were offset by Vermaleen and Anelka's poor day.

AM, what is the next level of cuts? Down to 20 teams?
