Game Over For Tevez

From SkySports.com:
Roberto Mancini revealed that striker Carlos Tevez refused to come onto the pitch in Manchester City's UEFA Champions League defeat against Bayern Munich.

The Italian admitted in his post-match interview that the Argentine striker 'let his side down' after staying on the bench and will never play for the club again.

Makes it easier for fantasy managers, but just shows what a complete mess Tevez has made of his career in the past 12 months. Utter waste of an immense talent.

It gets better...

From MirrorFootball.co.uk
There was more trouble for Mancini when striker Edin Dzeko shouted at his manager when he was substituted in the 56th minute and then threw his tracksuit to the floor.

Mancini stated: "Dzeko had a poor game. In terms of being unhappy, it should be me, not him. This is the last time with me a player will do this."

There were also reports that Dzeko, Tevez and Pablo Zabaleta were all involved in an angry confrontation with Mancini as the second half wore on. Mancini's assistant David Platt had to try to restore some sense of order as the bizarre scenes raged but City were in chaos on and off the pitch.

Classy!

Ridiculous. He lived in Manchester for 2 years (and London 1 year) before even accepting the City offer - it's not like the lifestyle, weather, language, distance from family was a new revelation! Mercenary. I hope the owners sell him to another English club so he can "suffer" some more.

This has been coming for a long time--both club and player will be better off if petulant Carlito leaves.

Since it also seems like Zabaleta and Dzeko will be spending some time in Mancini's penalty box, Aguero and Richards appear to be certain starters this weekend, and things are looking pretty rosy for Balotelli too.

citeh had all summer to sell tevez (who had been throwing his toys out of the pram for months) but argued themselves onto the higher moral ground over a few £m in transfer fee. now it's comes back to bite them on the arse
how long before balotelli "does a tevez"

Don't worry, if Dzecko and Tevez leave, they have plenty of cool headed players like Balotelli to replace them :)

Balotelli was going to start this weekend anyway, atleast now i dont have to worry about who the second striker will be. Mancini doesnt want Tevez and when he got a capable replacement it was like second heaven. As for Ade, Madrid thinks he's a 5m player, if Tottenham thinks he's good enoiugh, knock down his wages and pay the transfer fee but i'm sure they will only do a madrid.

Maybe now his ridiculously inflated YFF (read OPEC) price will come down. (18.23 for a measly 2.33 ppg). :-P

Wow, so there is a footballer more disgraceful than Tevez. Bramble is making this whole Tevez incident look almost inconsequential in comparison:

Sunderland's Bramble Arrested

The fact that he was arrested before on suspicion of rape, and his brother is serving a 4 1/2 year term for rape...nice family.
