The Blog Cup - 3rd Round Results UPDATED

(From now on I'll be waiting a week before calculating the results to avoid the dreaded late points adjustments by Yahoo)
In true cup style we've had some more giant killing - teams highlighted in yellow have totals of less than 900 points so far this season and are some way down the overall rankings, but they've progressed to Round 4 - congratulations to them and every one else who made it through.
It's all over for the teams scoring 76 or lower - those in the darker shade of grey are teams in the overall top 500 so they would've been expecting to progress, but alas it was not to be.
If you've gone out or failed to get into a blog league then do not fear - another competition will run later in the year and I'll be creating at least 2 more leagues for this to bring the total up to 1000 teams!
Round 4 takes place in Week 16, where we'll reduce 301 down to 200, saying goodbye to another 101 teams. I'm looking forward to that already!

Not sure why I even checked - I was so far down the first time, so no way I was going to make it when you re ran it! And this week was a disaster too - gone from around the 700 mark to 2500 in the space of about 8 days.

Hi DxD - I must admit I noticed your team was missing when calculating the new results (as you were in the original VOID 3rd round results), but just assumed you had dropped out of the blog league for some reason. What league are you in? I can't find you in any of them?

Yes that's fine mate, you remain in the cup. For one horrible moment I thought I was going to need to recalculate everything again, but luckily the fact a number of teams tied on 76.5 meant it didn't affected anything in terms of who went through. Good job, I would've been REALLY mad if I had to do them again!!! :)

Squeezed through with 83 points just like the 2nd round.
I made it through originally, but sadly, I fell short after the recount. Given that I was close to the cut off, I knew I was in trouble when Yahoo took points away. It's a fitting cap to the unmitigated disaster the last three gameweeks have been. Oh well. If I can get my ranking headed back in the right direction, that's all that matters.

You've done a really really good job. Ive following for quite sometime, anonymously so that my other friends do not get a sniff of how and where I've been doing my research. Yeah, we need all the help we could get. It's a very tough group me friend. Quite well versed with the game. And we have been playing fantasy football on yahoo quite a while now.
I noticed that you got my team at 81 points. Mine's actually was 86.5 :) No wprries Nik, I blame it on yahoo.

Hey Jebat, thanks for your comments. The Blog Cup was in Week 12, when you scored 81.5 points. I had to delay the results because of adjustments. :)

I can't believe I made it through (in 250th place)!
I'm having a terrible time this season, picking the right players then dropping them before they go on to score big time and my lead in my private league has been cut from 130 points to just 54. Time to take some risks, I think!
By the way, AM, your posts about the Blog Cup aren't appearing automatically in Google Reader (like your other posts do). Is there a setting you've forgotten to activate?
