Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has been ruled out for two to three weeks following the hamstring injury he picked up against Sunderland at the weekend.

Dembele, who has scored three times this season since joining from AZ Alkmaar, left the stadium on crutches but the full extent of the injury is not yet known. We now know how bad it is, 2 weeks out, so he's out of this weekend's game vs Everton, which is a huge blow to Fulham (with Zamora out) and to fantasy managers holding him at discount!

Decisions decisioms. My hunch pick for this week is jerome. I think he could do well this week. He is central to all birmingham attacks. With him in my team, I have to choose one of arshavin or chamwow. Who should I go for?

hi AMers!
any suggestion for a good pick 8.7mill rated striker/midfielder? Dembele seems like going to miss this week game...
My current squad:
Foster
Bale Kos Salcido
Adam Barton VDV Poulsen
Drogs Dembele CamWow
Many thanks & have a nice day..
-MySL
current
cudicini
bale baptise salcido
adam barton nani malouda
berbatov chamakh
now is considering to load kirkland n drogba for berbatov
@MySL - Why not try Carroll?
He should be due a goal now surely

why you want drogba vs man city? it's a tough match-up.. if you have him at disc, then yes.. i rather looks up another options or just stay with berba..
jussi will be back right against Man Utd?
@LC
Carrol seems to be okay but i'm more preferring Dembele as he is in his form. i'm hoping Dembele to fit asap. Anyway, thanks mate. It's a good suggestion though =)

Jussi is back vs man u. but gary cahill is still out, so still some defensive weakness there.
no Obinna in game yet. he's looked very lively in the games he's had so far. shots on target in all & scored last nite. plenty of options up front generally ( not necess for this wk's fixtures ) gyan, odemwingie, carroll. k jones looks lively. benty's always good for a home game or vs bottom 10 side away. kalinic is returning more than his price. fletcher of wolves is useful. yayga & elmander are high up on the SOT rankings & averaging approx 10. no need to spend a fortune to get a decent fwd line & you can just rotate to whoever's got a good match-up.
if dembele is ruled out, it should make gera 6.16 /dempsey 11.57 good picks ( both classed as m/f ) .
S.P.
Question - Berbs price is 13.03. Points have been updated. Why didn't his price jump after the hat trick? Not that I care about an extended barndoor but some consistency would be nice.
BCB
PS - Damn you Dembele. Who picks up the attacking slack for Fulham?
@ BCB
yahoo not yet update the prices, maybe some difficulty over the algorithm again. it's always a problem when players scores big points. hoping yahoo to sort this out soon because i'll be crazy to think who i want to BD, changing my mind everyday!!
to all
bosingwa played 55 minutes in reserves today.
he might be great pick for next week, i don't think there's a way he could play against city.
mentioning, cause would'nt remember bosingwa fantasy-wise and at 6.65 must-have, assuming if he plays.
@cfcboss; Thanks for the Bosingwa update, but your right, theres no way he is going to play against Man City at the weekend. I am doubting if he will come into contention again for a LONG time with Ferreria/Ivano/Alex all rotating somewhere from bench to center to right side. Which is sade because when i picked him up 2 seasons ago he was in my defensive lineup for the entire season!
TO ALL: DEMBELE UPDATE:
This is from Jeremy/Neal's Fantasy Blog:
http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2010/09/22/2131105/fulham-striker-moussa-dembele-out-for-two-weeks-following
So Dembele confirmed out for up to 2 weeks, guess all of you holding him at discount should look elsewhere on Sat. I suggest Carrol as the most immediate replacement, or if you want the funds to upgrade another player, I just have a feeling Kallinic can nick a goal against BPool. Anyway its sad news for me as I had intended to hold him for a couple of weeks, but really I just caved on Berba since his price is still the same.
Tough one to call this week as I fancy many players, thus we can expect some diverse teams for this next week.
Currently I am on:
Kirk
Bale, Kos, Salcido
Malouda, Nasri, VDV, Ben Arfa
Drogba, Berbatov, Chamakh
But I am feeling itchy to change 4 players. I am considering changing Berbatov, Nasri, Ben Arfa, and Kos to Carrol, Arshavin, Joe Cole and Scquillaci.
My reasoning:
1.) Berbatov won't score another hattrick this week, he may get one, but for the price of 7mil Carrol is just as likely to score with a nice matchup to a struggling Stoke side
2.) Nasri played 120min, but I am 100% sure he will still start at the weekend. However, his biggest contribution to the game were his 2 PK's in 4mins and he has a tendency to go annoymous. Arshavin has yet to let me down twice when I have picked him (19pts and 16pts), hes also more rested and less likely to be subbed with a 3-0 scoreline. This makes Nasri a sub risk lets say around the 60min mark.
3.) Ben Arfa is a great pick on paper, but hes not the likeliest source of goals or crosses. Take away his match winning goal and he sits on 3.5pts, not prolific phantoms. Joe Cole is very similar to that, not picking up points, however I just have a feeling he will score and he is my less expensive Gerrard replacement.
4.) Kos to Squillaci because there is a lot of talk about Verm being back for this match, meaning Kos playing 120min mid week would put him at rotation risk, with the rested Squillaci back into the fold. However, I can see Wenger resting Verm even if fit for the crucial CL tie mid week next week. Leaving Kos and Scquill to once again partner center defense, but I need to downgrade Kos to afford my 4 player switch.
Well thats it for me, sorry for the long post. As always good luck!
take away 3 goals and mwg from Berbatov and you will get 3,5 points also...
i would rather pick wilshire or sicky then nasri also...
except arsenal game all games are very close, with only Birmingham and Man Utd can be called some kind of favorites, imo...
dont ever apologize for good post, no metter how long post is... ;-)
Nice squad you have there, kellz. Personally I'm not sold on ben afra. I think baeton is a better misc points scorer. You could consider that switch, if funds permit. I like your Nasri pick. He seems to be playing in Fabs role plus takes pens as well. Considering him myself.
I am currently being tempted by torres. Don't see many teams with him. Maybe it's due to his poor form. But he has to come good sooner or later and has two tasty fixtures to come, sunderland and blackpool, both at home.
Another player I fancy this week is jerome. At home to wigan he could notch a couple. Okay, I've probably jinxed him already.
So many options this week, but only eleven players can be chosen.

gardner/adam/vermaelen (presuming he's fit) or gerrard/hleb/j samuel (filler)
