  2. Jesus Nik. I scored 22 points too and went from 1st to 7th in Blog league 3. I guess it's a disaster week for everyone considering I only dropped 6 places with 22 points.

  3. Nik. My sympathies. I am in about the same shape. The footie gods have been unkind. Tomorrow is another day. I am hoping for huge games from VDV, DDG, and Kun or I am again toast.

In the chat room last night I really questioned those selecting Baines and Torres. Was right there.

What has been interesting is the lack of effort being put forth by Chelsea and Arsenal. I really thought Arsenal v 'Pool would be a 3-3 shut out, but the gunners didn't show up. And can anyone tell me why Dalgliesh didn't start Suarez.

Tomorrow more will be revealed. Whether Spurs have the fire. Whether ManU's depleted defense is up to the task. And whether City is for real or not. I think after tomorrow we can all take our heads out of our collected asses and pretend we know what we are doing.

The biggest surprise has been Villa with Agbohnlahor looking like the second coming of BFAY. Who would have thunk?

  5. @chrism

everyone got DDG and Kun. So nothing much we can do.

Torres really suck. I wont pick him forever this season.

  6. Could be worse AM. You could have 9.5 with 5 left like me. :-(

  7. 30 points with 6 to go. I guess I can't complain much but this has a bad week so far.

  8. Yea Chrism, not sure about Torres (I didn't watch the match), but you wouldn't have questioned the Baines selection if that first SP in the first 10mins that he took had gone in. Was a really really close shave, GK wasn't even anywhere near. Just disappointed at myself picking Torres over Suarez. Should've followed my guts :(

  10. Chose Van Der Vaart over Baines, hopefully it works out for long shorter Vaart!

  13. chrism, Agbohnlahor maybe out injured if you are considering him next week.

  14. Well, it seems we are all in agreement. Horrible, horrible week. From bad last week to worse this week. If not for Suarez, I would have almost no points so far this week.

And, just to rub salt in the wound, I dropped de Laet for Hoolahan...he's on the bench and de Laet scores! That pretty much sums it all up.

Now, the only thing that can save the week is 3-4 goals from Aguero + Silva. It won't move me up much, since everyone has them, but at least it will be a little satisfying.

  15. how have they added Joel Campbell (Arsenal) to the game already but not Romelu Lukaku? I don't understand the people at Yahoo

  16. oh, and Eat My Goal [AM.Blog] is on 6 points from 5 players and currently sitting 71,103th. and Goal-line Smegology [AM.Blog], even having scored -0.5pts (thanks Ramsay) is still sitting 1,996th, down 1987 places from 9th last week. But then, all the rest of my players are Man City so we'll see where we go from here.

P.S. will clichy and Kolarov be swapped continually this season?

  17. Nik,

I'm in a very similar position and hoping city save my week again. Silva has just scored, but then I imagine everyone has him. My only possible saving grace is picking Rooney ahead of Baines, but we'll have to see how that pans out. My rival had Vorm in goal, and sits on 65 pts for this week!

However, despite your (and my) low score, I still think your team sheet is rock solid. The only possible difference you could have realistically could have made was having Bent over Torres.

Btw, I think Torres is dead to me fantasy wise. Is he even going to start next week after that display? Time to look at the midfield and defence I think.

  18. Nik,

May I swear in your blog?

    Fcuk all my team players!!!!!

10 pts so far.....It's really getting into my nerves!!

  19. feeling less worse that i am only 4 points behind AM, now that all of you are following my bad teams lead.

sitting at 19.5 and 80 overall with
de gea, smalling, ashley young, dzeko, aquero and rooney to go

i am not too worried, because dzeko got me a goal and young and rooney will have good games.

  23. New to this site. Please can you tell me when I can officially 'barn door' a player. Is it right after the game or when the weeks fixtures are finished?
    Thanks.

  24. Hi Rick you can barn door a Player from deadline for the ore new week until the players points come in after their match ie you can still buy man united players today before their price goes up. If say for example Rooney scores a hat trick tonight you can buy him at his old price until about an hour after the game

  25. Hi Kendo,
Thanks for the help I understand now. I had a brilliant week this week after the Man U win and just want a defender to take the place of Wes Brown. How did you do?
