  1. I'm currently thinking about my two last spots - a defender and a midfielder:

    Ivanovic+Aquilani
    or
    Cuellar+JCole
    or
    Evans+Jarvis
    or
    Givet+Lee

These are the best I've found. The fisrt ne is probably the best, but I have a good fealing about the second and the third as well, so I'd love to read some comments about this.

    Right now:

    Given
    Vermaelen Bale Ivanovic
    Valencia Milner Modric Aquilani
    Rooney Eduardo Sturridge

    SF

  2. Aquilani/Kuyt or Modric/N,gog

  3. Will Degen play? I would have thought the back four would be Insua Carragher Agger and Skrtel?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Hi SF

Not sure sturridge will start - Ngog (a similar price) is sure for 2 games with pool, so Id go with the latter

  6. Can anyone be sure to predict the Bolton line-up now that they have a new manager in Owen Coyle?

Also who is Liverpool's new kick-taker with Gerrard/Benayoun out? (For that matter, who currently takes Spurs/Bolton's kicks?)

  8. No weather concern for this week?

  9. The weather should be fine, it's warmed up significantly in the past 48 hours - there are no games at risk at time of writing.

  10. AM - I would highly appriciate it if you answered my question from the top of the comments part.

  11. SF - I think the 1st option is the best of the 4, but go with your gut feeling.

  14. AM thanks for all the good work it has really helped!!

    Almunia
    Verm Bale Alexander
    Kranjcar MTay Arsh Aqualani
    Defoe Klasnic Eduardo

I was thinking about downgrading MTay or Arsh to either Nasri or Valencia so that I can get Modric for Aquaman but im still undecided.

  18. So far sitting on Kirkland, Bale, Verm, Bassong, Arshavin (afraid to drop him), Aquilani, M Taylor, Defoe, Eduardo, Ngog

Thought about switching Bassong for Degen simply because Degen might get forward more. Might also change aquilani for ramsey but not sure wether he will start??

    Any thoughts?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Hello all. Have Traore in the back. But I'm worried he will get knocked off the 2nd game. Does anyone have an opinion on a change to Degen or Skrtel? Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  20. Picking a Gunner's midfielder is going to be tough this week outside of Arsh and Diaby. I think those two are the only ones who should start and play both games against Bolton. I highly doubt Fab will be risked for the full 90 minutes in either game, although we all know what he is capable of in a short amount of time.

Having said that I am sitting on:

    Almunia
    Verm/Alexander/RJohnson/Bale
    Modric/Nasri/Arsh
    Rooney/Tevez/Crouch

I really want to upgrade Crouch to Defoe but there is no way to do it without dropping Arsh. I'm thinking of replacing Crouch with Sturridge and upgrading Nasri to Kranjcar. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    -Neal

    ReplyDelete
  21. Agree that Arshavin and Diaby are probably the only two arsenal mids guaranteed to start! I would keep Crouch, reckon you need at least one spurs striker. Also would try and upgrade to Kranjcar if possible as Nasri can be a bit hit and miss!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. @Neal - I'd say drop Arshavin and use the cash to upgrad Crouch to Defoe and then if you can afford him, downgrade Arshavin to THudd(I really like him). Good luck,

    I'm sitting on...
    Kirk
    Verm/Bale/Gallas
    Rosisky/Krankjar/A.Young/Palacios
    Defoe/Tevez/Crouch or EdS

    or
    Almunia
    Verm/Bale/Bassong
    Rosisky/Krankjar/THudd/Palacios
    Tevez/Defoe/Crouch

What do you guys think? I wanted Anelka for Tevez but I have Tevez on the cheap and he will have a DG soon, so I'll just probably BD Anelka after the weekend fixture.

  23. Hi everyone,

    Rosicky or Modric? Thoughts?

I'm a Gooner, so, of course, I hate choosing Modric over 'Sicky... but if it is the right YFF move, then I will do it, as I'd like to beat my mates.

    Thank you,
    Michael

    ReplyDelete
  24. From the fixtures it looks like Man City and Stoke will have 0 games in week 20, everyone else has one game. Don't know if that helps any of the Tevez holders...

Michael I would choose Modric this week but its a tough one!!

  25. While ManU has only one game this week, it seems likely that they will trash Burnley, so any suggestions on which ManU defender may pick up an assist or a goal along with CS?

Cesc will probably only play 100-120 minutes, but I'm still tempted so...

I have 2.97 left to spend on one player so I think I'll sell Tevez for 14.50. Any ideas for two players to spend 17.47 on?

    Almunia
    Vermaelen Bale Corluka
    Aquilani Cesc Huddlestone _____
    Eduardo Tevez Sturridge

    Thanks.

  26. down to 2 options (almost)

    Any advice for this?

    Almunia
    Verm/Bale/(salgado or nelsen)
    Modric/Krankie/Aqua/Arsh/(diaby or rosicky)
    Eduardo/Defoe

    OR

    Kirkland
    Verm/Bale/Gallas
    Mod/Krank/Aqua/Rosicky
    Rooney/Ed/Defoe

    ReplyDelete
  27. SK

17.47 will get you Arshavin + filler
Krank + Modric if you downgrade Corluka to Seabass
    Modric + Ngog
    Kuyt + filler

I am thinking about Ngog, might do something as with Babel out too he surely will start

    ReplyDelete
  28. init - I do like Ngog. I'm not sure about downgrading Corluka though. He's been doing fairly well recently. Based on this (no Sturridge):

Huddlestone + Modric + 7.74 (on any one player on field)
    Krank + Modric + 6.15
    Krank + Huddlestone + 6.01

    Hmmm....

Personally like Almunia better than Kirkland this week, but I think having Gallas instead of Arshavin is a safer pick but I could be wrong. Sorry I couldn't help you more.

  29. hmm loaded with arsenal and spurs, with a liverpool, then just alexander and tevez at discount.. i should have 20 X 90min plays out of that but the problem is that those are only involved in 7 individual games, so i need plenty of points in those, and im not sure liverpool-spurs and arsenal-bolton will be huge scoring games.. heres hoping... final change was malouda out despite the matchup, and aurelio in, expecting him to be on FK duty. hmm i just dont see it being a killer week, probably will be happy with 130 or so. wish i had rooney. and anelka. and Ngog. screw it.

    almunia
    verm alex bale aurelio
    nasri arshavin modric
    tevez defoe eduardo

    ReplyDelete
  30. assuming you have tevez for 14.50 you can get anelka for 0.53 more if you have the spare cash, I think that's a good idea since Everton has been picking up their form and City does not have any scheduled games the following week. In addition, considering City has scored far more at home vs away (26 vs. 16 both 10 games), I have to say it's a good time to sell Tevez.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Found this really tough, my team all saved and probably not changing;

    Kirkland
    Vermalaen Bale Corluka
    Arshavin Aqua Modric Mok (filler)
    Defoe Anelka Rooney

    Girlfriend went for;

    Almunia
    Bale Evra Degen
    Arshavin Aqua Modric Mok
    Rooney Defoe Ngog

With her thinking on downgrading Arshavin to Nasri, Evra to Aurelio and upgrading Ngog to Eduardo.

    Thoughts?

    ReplyDelete
  32. @anon 11:33 - I was considering taking Tevez out and bringing Anelka in but decided not to because Tevez is on great form and he takes the PK's for City. On Chelsea, Lampard takes the PK's...but I'll BD Anelka tomorrow morning and probably get rid of Tevez, or not.

    My team...
    Kirk
    Verm/Gallas/Bale
    Rosisky/Palacios/Krankjar/A.Young
    Defoe/Tevez/Crouch

I'm in a pickle, I'm thinking of downgrading Gallas to Bassong and upgrading Crouch to Anelka...what to do?
    (Honduran-Saul)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Sorry I meant downgrading Gallas to Degen and upgrading Crouch to Anelka, but I do like the fact that Crouch has 2 chances to impress and Anelka has one(which could turn out to be a goose egg lol). Also I don't like the fact that I'd have a liverpool defender, they're just not good.
    (Honduran-Saul)

  34. It is so hard to figure out who will be playing advance/holding roles in arsenal midfield so i think only arshavin is a certainty. i know he's been rubbish for quite a few games but he's arshavin, rite?

For bolton i had klasnic at 6++ so i'm gonna keep him. playing twice against arsenal so i'm not looking at other players (even m taylor seems overpriced)

I'm trying to bet on arsenal and tottenham. so here' what i can't decide:
    corluka/arshavin/defoe or
    kranjcar/dawson/arshavin(money left 3.3) or
    kranjcar/dawson/defoe?

    any help?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Could Jenas cause Kranjcar to get less time on the pitch? Also Goal.com had Defoe lame with a hamstring. Any Spurs fans out there who can deny or confirm?(Donegal08)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Is Defoe fit? physioroom says he will return in 1 day

    ReplyDelete
  37. The first choice midfielders for Spurs as I see for this week would probably be Modric, Huddlestone, Palacios and Kranjcar. I am tipping them to start the games, but I could be wrong because realistically, nobody can ever be 100% sure, more so with such congested fixtures.

Jenas had come off the bench lately to replace Lennon, Palacios, and Kranjcar more often than starting. He started in place of Huddlestone in one or two matches in the past two months (IIRC) though.

So the answer to your question would be yes, potentially, but Palacios/Modric/Huddlestone may all equally get some rest at some point in time.

Once again, regarding Defoe... he was reported as having a tight hamstring in the FA Cup clash on Nov 2. (Whatever tight hamstring means..) I don't recall seeing any confirmation report as suffering from an injury, tight hamstring may just be fatigue.

..."Meanwhile, Harry reported that Jermain Defoe was substituted 15 minutes from time as a precaution as his hamstring was a little tight and that both David Bentley and Jermaine Jenas missed out because of injury..."

    http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/articles/harryswinninghabit020110.html

That was on Jan 2, but it has been 2 weeks since and in the latest team news, Defoe was not mentioned in the injury report. So... PRESUMABLY... he should be fit.

    http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/articles/teamnews150110.html

So, make your own educated guess on whether he is fit. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  38. Correction: FA Cup clash on Nov 2 should read Jan 2. :-P

  39. With Lennon out, I decided to go with both kranc and modric. Hope this works out.
    Here is my team

    Kranc Modric Lee Nasri
    Tevez Klasnic Crouch

  40. Looking at week 20, it seems as if Stoke and ManC don't play at all, and that puts me in a really big dilemma - I have Given on almost 4mil discount, and his fixture on week 21 will be home to Pompey. Very tempting to keep through the zero, but Robinson is even cheaper and next week he's home to Wigan.
    Any advices?

  41. Almunia
    Vermaelen Bale Bassong
    Bilyaletdinov Arshavin Kranjcar AbouDiaby
    Eduardo Defoe Ngog

I think I'll settle for this team. Last minute decision to swop Modric to Diaby as I have funds left, hopefully that it would be a good move

The Pompey-Brum match is now off. Fortunatelly, there's no other team close to the south. I guess it doesn't hurt me, as I have no Brum or Pompey players right now, but the nightmare from last week begins flashing back.

  47. Most difficult week ever!!

    2 tricky choices - Rooney/Salgado, Diaby/Sagna, Corluka/Kuyt. Gone for Arsenal...

    Almunia
    Sagna, Verm, Bale
    Aqua, Modric, Krankie, Rosicky, Diaby
    Eduardo, Defoe

    Arsenal x 6
    Spurs x 4
    Liverpool x 1

I have changed about 20 times this week. I might still change Rosicky for Ngog... thoughts?

    ReplyDelete
  48. I think many would, in normal circumstances, agree the Rooney would be a far better choice than Sturridge. In fact, my 3-4-3 position has Defoe, Tevez and Rooney as strikers.
However, Chelsea will essentially be playing against Sunderland's reserve players, as compared to ManYoo who will play a Burnley that has fewer injured first team members as compared to Sunderland.
In addition, if i switch Rooney to Sturridge, i'll be able to switch out my filler Mok and play a 4-3-3 formation (i have Dunne in mind).
That said, I still think i'll keep Rooney. But I'd like to know your thoughts :P

  49. did A.Mokoena can play this weekend??

i saw at yahoo, he get 5 yellow CARD..

    ReplyDelete
  50. I have just dropped Rooney, bascially to free up cash for Diaby in midfield to avoid having Salgado filler. I figured 4 games for Diaby/Sagna is preferable to 1 game for Rooney, just looking at the averages really. Rooney could easily rip Burnley to shreds however and get 35 points!!

I have been stung before NOT having double gamers so personally i have majored on that. Coyle is more attacking than defensive so Arsenal could prosper. Also could work the other way...

Dificult week, also if I were you I would think about Tevez, away at Everton and no game next week...

    ReplyDelete
  51. TELL ME YOUR OPINION PLEASE:

    ALMUNIA
    VERMAELEN - BALE - FOLEY
    ARSHAVIN - KRANJAR - MODRIC - AQUILANI
    DEFOE - EDUARDO - ROONEY

    ANY CHANGES?

    ReplyDelete
  52. init, i'm probably keeping Rooney because ManYoo also face Hull next week, and as for Tevez, i'm holding him at a 5mil discount and of course after the blank week, he has games at Porstmouth and Hull...
Argh dilemna! I've still got an hour to decide though...
