**VIDEO REMOVED**

If for any reason you missed Arsenal v Barcelona, here are 20 minutes of highlights from one of the best matches I've seen in recent times. Unfortunately the host site has now removed the video, apologies.

I still have the full game on Sky+ so I'll be watching it all over again tonight, it really was that good. Congratulations to the Gunners - I'm looking forward to the 2nd leg already!

Cheers,

Inter fan here. Predicted the scoreline and Arsenal scorers correctly, both of whom i had in my fantasy team. Barcelona are the best team in the world but they're also big cheats, they roll over @ the slightest touch. I'll be surprised if they qualify ahead of Arsenal.

That was good game. It really shows the character of football. Barcelona might be the best team but you must agree that all of their goal attempts depend (more or less) on luck.

luck.... hahhahah what game did you look??

Neither Arsenal goal was dependent on luck. You must not have watched the match.

Couldn't watch the match due to the different time zone that I'm in. Match starts at 4am here.

so nik or others, interested to know your opinion - which victory was more impressive in the overall run of things, arsenal or spurs?

They were equally impressive.

Barcelona dominated much of the game, but then they are considered the best club side in the world, so Arsenal did superbly to fight back from a goal down against the odds, while sticking to their football philosophy. Spurs were the better side in Italy, and despite the fact Milan are no Barcelona, to go to the San Siro and win is extremely tough.

Both completely different, but equally famous and impressive victories in my opinion.

by the way...how did this team lose to West Brom and Newcastle at the Emirates but defeats Barca? lol

would be nice to see a London team in the final at Wembley!!!!

What a week for English footie, Spurs probably acheived the best result and performance in my living memory in Europe, delighted to be a Spurs fan at the moment after years of mediocrity. Well done each and every Spurs player and long may it continue. Hats of to Arsenal who I feared terribly for after Vila had scored, they looked shakey at the back after a good start and I thought the flood gates would open but no, back came Arsenal and served it up to Barca on a plate. I had a debate with a few of the regulars in the chat room a while back about Pique, My opinion is that he's not all he's cracked up to be. Others pointed out that he won the world cup and Champions league which are very valid points. He was woefull last night, his positioning for the two Arsenal goals were terrible. He can play for sure...going forward but as a defender he lacks some quality, I still maintain that any half decent defender could play for Barca and Spain and do well because the best form of defense is attack and kepping the ball and attacking is what Barca and Spain do best. I was truly chuffed for the Gunners last night and cheered them on as if it was the Spurs out there. Well done lads

I thought the game was great and was fun to watch, it is always fun when both sides play attacking styles. I am a Arsenal fan and I must admit I honestly thought Barca's attack was going to be to much to handle for Arsenal's backs because lets face it, they are not the most concistent bunch, but we stuck with our style and deserved the victory. Great finishes by VP and Arshavin.

i say the spurs win was better because it is away from home and the newcomers beat a team that has won a lot of games at the san siro. i was cheering lennons stepover and the subsequent goal. i will root for spurs before liverpool, manure or chelsea.
the problem for me, is after arsenal i support, barcelona and milan so it is bitter for me to have these four teams matched up, why couldn't spurs have beaten real madrid and arsenal beat inter.
the reason that arsenal's win was so great was that barca are soooo good, admittadely they don't win knock out games away from home. now it is up to arsenal, if they get the away goal and try for a tie it could work. if they get two away goals it will be lights out.
i want to see lyon and bayern join tottenham and arsenal in the semis.

Hi greginho... don't forget that there are 1/4 finals after these games and there is a big possibility that the draw makes your wish impossible. Furthermore, I don't believe Arsenal will qualify since Barca are fantastic team and they should have lead 2:0 if the goal wasn't denied since there was absolutely no offside. Barca will easily take the game at Kamp Nou IMO. I believe the teams for the 1/4 finals will be Barca,Tottenham,Man United, Chelsea, Shakhtear, Shalke, Inter and Real Madrid and I really hope for Man United-Barca final. Anyway, both games were great - congrats to Arsenal for taking the game but still - Barca are fantastic team and with Pujol probably back, I don't think there will be any difference from last year's game...

@ Staffer 84,

There actually was offside, just unbelievable that linesman could see it, ball came of szczesny's leg to messi who was offside at that time, so........
